In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit! Visible evidence of our unfading Orthodox Faith, Faith-living and constant is our Church of The Dormition of Most Holy Birthgiver of God (Bogorodica), the most beautiful one in all Doicese for America and Canada of the Macedonian Orthodox Church. A small community, short on resources, but with firm Faith, Love, Hope, Patience, a constant good home maker attitude and outstanding efforts of the faithful-our Church is also the most beautiful Orthodox Church in Columbus!
Second half of the year 2008 marked the beginning of our fresco-painting project in our Church. The main goal of our Church is to be in full capacity like every Orthodox Church should be-more beautiful from the inside than from the outside, just like the true beauty of every man should be his immortal soul, not just passing-by outside beauty. In order to move on succesfully, it will be of the essence to have your further financial help. Just like our Macedonian people use to say-Help yourself, so Lord will help you too! And that Lord has blessed this venture of ours, we know also from the visits of numerous believers from other Orthodox Churches. All of them make us happy by saying that-"you are truly rich, because with God you have such a Church!" This venture will need time and means to be complete. Therefore again and again we ask for contributions of the faithful people in the months to come. Voluntarily contributions-public or secret, big or small, all at once or in a several payments, right now or in few weeks or months-all of that is your choice only. For the purposes of this project a separate account is open exclusively for the completion of the fresco-painting. In this economically rough & tough times, just for the incentive-let us remind that the most magnificent works of the spiritual art of the Macedonian people with eternal values, were made in conditions of slavery and bondage and heavy poverty, just to the words of Christ: …And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites... And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast more in…For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had... (Mark 12:42-44). Therefore, since we decide to build a Temple to God our Lord, let us be courageous, strong and do it-with God’s help! Amen!
